Damp proof membranes
A floor that is still giving off moisture will destroy whatever is stuck to it. On a refurbishment the slab is often decades old with no membrane at all, or one that was breached by every service run put through it since.
Before the finish, not after
We install sheet membranes under new floors and liquid-applied surface membranes on existing slabs that are too wet to cover, which is common when a programme will not wait for a slab to dry naturally. Getting this wrong is expensive in a specific way: the floor covering fails months later, and by then the building is occupied.

How do you know if the slab needs one?
A relative humidity test in the slab. If you have a reading, send it; if not we can take one. Guessing is how floors fail.
