Curve, Leicester Performing Arts Theatre

1,522 m² of power-floated concrete laid over underfloor heating and finished in a three-coat epoxy system for durability and colour. Contrasting bands were cast into the slab on a grid that carries through the full-length glazing and lines up with the granite paving outside.

The theatre was designed on an industrial theme, with all of its inner workings on show — so the floor was part of the architecture rather than something to be covered up.
