Screed Floor Portfolio

Curve, Leicester Performing Arts Theatre for Bovis Lend Lease.

1,522 square metres of power floated concrete laid over under floor heating and finished with a three coat Epoxy system for durability and colour. The crossing bands are cast into the floor and finished in a contrasting colour. The bands are aligned on a grid system to allow them to follow through the full length of the glass and meet with the corresponding bands in the granite paving outside. The theatre was designed along an industrial theme and to have all the inner workings on show. This theatre is a state of the art construction, showcasing the best of modern construction methods.

Dalham Hall Stud, Horse Racing Stables, Newmarket

1,500 square metres of concrete floor for race horse transport, vehicle and general operating storage. The surface has been grounded to provide a good key to receive a Barrier Coat water proof layer and two coloured Epoxy coatings. There is a non slip finish applied to the top coat. The surface needed to be robust enough to take heavy vehicle traffic and stand up to a considerable amount of water and horse urine; which it does magnificently.

Goosedale Banqueting and Conference Centre, Papplewick, Nottingham

303 square metres of 1:4 C20 sand and cement screed with twelve hour retarder and polypropylene fibres laid over an under floor heating system. The floor was originally designed to use a flowing screed but as available drying time had become an issue due to site conditions Tarmac Truscreed was proposed by Screed Floor Ltd. The screed was laid to a large banqueting hall, two toilets and a large conservatory much to the clients’ satisfaction.

Renovated farm house in Ruddington, near Nottingham.

104 square metres of Lafarge Agilia Horizontal flowing concrete. A flat finish was required to allow both carpet and floor tiles to be laid on top of it. Agilia Horizontal achieves this with ease and removes the need to power float the surface saving a considerable amount of time. The shine on the surface is the curing agent which is applied immediately after finishing. The curing agent that Screed Floor Ltd applies does not need removing prior to bonding coverings.

Peterborough Community Church, Kingsgate, Peterborough

2,000 square metres of Lafarge Gyvlon flowing screed laid on 50mm of EPS 100 insulation and a polythene membrane with edge detail. The screed was all on the first floor and the acoustic property of the floor was provided by the insulation. The end use of the area is for offices, workshops and storage.

Hinckley, Leicestershire

1,700 square metres of flowing screed at Hinckley, Leicestershire. Our client inherited the site part finished and required acoustic separating floors for the apartments that were certain to pass pre-completion testing. Monarfloor Tranquilt was proposed by Screed Floor Ltd as it performs exceptionally well, is quick to install and exceeds building regulation for sound transfer. The floors were finished with 40mm of Lafarge Gyvlon flowing screed.

Keyworth Rubgy Club

100 square metres of Cemex Supaflo flowing screed. Extension to the existing club house to provide additional toilets, showers and changing rooms. Installation of the floor insulation, polythene membrane, edge detail and screed were all completed in a single day by Screed Floor Ltd.
